Manufacturing Operations Manager

We are pleased to announce that Solventum has entered into a definitive agreement to sell our Purification & Filtration business to Thermo Fisher Scientific. This transaction is anticipated to be completed by the end of 2025, subject to the satisfaction of customary closing conditions, receipt of regulatory approvals, and country specific information and consultation needs where required. This is a significant milestone for the P&F business and will allow for the strategic investment and resources needed for sustaining growth and delivering customer solutions. The Impact You'll Make in this Role
The person hired for the position of Manufacturing Operations Manager will provide supervisory leadership for Stafford Springs manufacturing operations (24x7) and is responsible for driving safety, quality, service, productivity, and employee engagement. The position will provide leadership for 24/7 crewing, including weekend/on-call support. Here, you will make an impact by:

• Ensuring a safe working environment through modeling safe behaviors, leading inspections, correcting unsafe behaviors, leading crew meetings, and utilizing proper work methods, procedures, and equipment. Champion EHS for incident investigations and plant opportunities to improve safety through a positive and inclusive environment.
• Coaching direct reports and providing overall leadership to production and warehouse hourly employees and ensuring accuracy in production reporting and time reporting for payroll and adherence to plant policies for consistency in operations.
• Working and communicating cross-functionally with site support teams (EHS, Maintenance, Engineering, Quality, Production Planning) to meet production schedules and implement improvements by prioritizing and allocating work schedules, monitoring production processes and staffing, and leading projects for improvements.
• Encouraging and implementing continuous improvement in safety, quality, supply chain, and productivity while being accountable for metric performance and maintaining positive human relations.
• Handling shifts administrative activities such as training, time/absence reporting, attendance control, vacation planning, overtime, training, etc.
• Providing effective communication through the organization with regular crew meetings.

Your Skills and Expertise

To set you up for success in this role from day one, Solventum is looking for candidates who must have the following qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a science or engineering discipline (completed and verified prior to start) and five (5) years of manufacturing experience in a private, public, government or military environment

OR

• High School Diploma/GED (completed and verified prior to start) and nine (9) years of manufacturing experience in a private, public, government or military environment

In addition to the above requirements, the following are also required:

• Two (2) years of supervisory or people management experience

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

• Advanced supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment
• Experience in medical, pharmaceutical, or food manufacturing (cGMP, ISO 13485)
• Ability to drive and influence change and lead cross functional teams
• Training and/or experience with SixSigma and Lean Manufacturing
• Experience working with hazardous materials
• Experience leading cross functional teams

Travel: May include up to 5% domestic/international

Applicable to US Applicants Only:The expected compensation range for this position is $160,284 - $195,903, which includes base pay plus variable incentive pay, if eligible. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position.
