Professor of Practice (Finance)



A New College for a New Era Launching in Fall 2025, the Bellini College of Artificial Intelligence, Cybersecurity, and Computing will leverage the strengths of USF's highly ranked Computer Science and Engineering department. It will open with 67 expert faculty, over 3,000 students, and a program already positioned in the top 15% nationally. The faculty's distinction is highlighted by eleven NSF CAREER awards and numerous IEEE and AAAS fellows. The college is designed with a unique \"hub-and-spoke\" model to serve as a central hub for technological innovation while fostering deep interdisciplinary collaboration across the university, ensuring advancements in AI and cybersecurity catalyze progress in every field.

Preferred Qualifications for Professor of Practice: Preferred candidates should have past experience in teaching computer science, computer engineering, cybersecurity, and/or information technology. In addition, preferred candidates should have substantial industry experience.

We welcome specialists from every corner of computing, with a focus on 1) cutting-edge AI and software engineering, 2) robotic process automation, 3) state-of-the-art cybersecurity, software, and IT tools and practices, 4) certification-aligned course design, 5) AI law, policy, and ethics, and 6) frontier domains such as agentic AI, digital twins, and quantum computing.

Preference will be given to candidates with substantial industry experience. Applicants should hold a PhD in a related discipline or possess a record of professional achievement equivalent to a terminal degree (e.g., 10+ years in senior technical or policy roles, industry-recognized certifications, and evidence of impact through patents, standards, or major deployments). A master's degree is needed as a minimum qualification to be able to teach undergraduate students.
