Pepsi Bottling Ventures is seeking a Beverage Equipment Service Tech Lead to join our team.

Beverage Equipment Service Tech Lead Role Overview

Effectively and efficiently diagnose, service, and repair within assigned territory all vendors, coolers, fountain, and other designated equipment. Provide exceptional customer service while representing PBV with each customer. Supports training and on-boarding of all new MEM team members.

**Pay = $15.50-25/hr**

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Provides "Service that Sells." Interacts with customers daily to help diagnose, educate, and support, while ensuring we meet customer expectations and PBV business objectives.
  • Must be able to perform all duties of Service Technicians, Fountain Installers and Vending Delivery team members.
  • Maintains and manages an average equipment base of 13,000 assets valued over $20M to include, diagnosing and repairing, reading schematics, replacing parts, and testing components using electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic testing equipment.
  • Meets Pepsi-Cola North America (PCNA) quality objectives, to include Preventative Maintenance (PM) performed and Reactive Repair (RR) to drive revenue.
  • Proper usage and management of Hand-held computer to ensure accuracy of call detail, parts management, equipment location, and work performed.
  • Reviews daily activity to re-assign work within the territory.
  • Provides training and development (Train the Trainer) of new product introduction, Hand-held computer, reports, "Service that Sells", and cross functional training.
  • Manages and controls truck operation, cleanliness, parts inventory, and meeting commercial vehicle regulations.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum three (3) years' of experience in food service, vending repair or related fields (plumbing, refrigeration, electrical, small appliance).
  • Coursework in aforementioned fields may substitute for experience.
  • Able to meet PBV's driving guidelines, valid driver's license with a good driving record.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Must be able to travel daily to assigned accounts. Overnight travel may be required.
  • Advanced understanding of electrical components, plumbing, board level schematics, electronics troubleshooting, refrigeration repair and vending/fountain equipment repairs and parts.
  • Attention to detail, patience, and problem-solving ability.
  • Must be able to work hours necessary to complete assigned tasks.
  • CDL license preferred
  • Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer service, including needs assessment, quality standards and evaluating customer satisfaction.
  • Public safety and security knowledge of relevant equipment, policies and procedures for the protection of people, data, property, and institutions preferred.
  • Ability to coach and train others preferred.
  • Must be able to grasp and understand the functionality of SAP, Microsoft Word, Excel and some PowerPoint.
  • Ability to gain understanding of Food Service personnel responsibilities.
