Advanced Mechanical Systems Engineer (Finance)

The Honeywell Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) Manufacturing and Design Engineering team specializes in the design and manufacture of Coil Wound Heat Exchangers and other natural gas liquefaction equipment. Our engineering organization designs the equipment, which is fabricated at our manufacturing facility in Port Manatee, FL, as well as at various domestic and international third-party facilities. Our customers utilize this equipment to liquefy extracted natural gas, significantly enhancing its transportability as an energy source for end users worldwide.
The Advanced Mechanical Systems Engineer will be based at our Honeywell LNG Headquarters in Allentown, PA. You will contribute to the LNG Manufacturing and Design Engineering (MDE) - Piping and Structural Design & Engineering (PSDE) team, along with other disciplines within the LNG organization.
The successful candidate will play a key role in the MDE team, responsible for the selection, specification, and technical requisition of mechanical components within Honeywell LNG's proprietary liquefaction systems. This includes the specification and design of plant-sized systems utilizing components such as piping, fittings, valves, insulation, coatings, and specialty in-line items. The candidate will also interpret regulatory and customer specifications, manage supply chain technical aspects, conduct system pressure testing, and address system design breaks.
The incumbent will ensure that all mechanical systems comply with engineering standards, industry standards, safety regulations, project specifications, and company policies.
The position requires occasional domestic and international travel.
